Noble Gas Sample Line Automation
The noble gas mass spectrometer is used for studying the relative abundance of noble gas isotopes in a sample. Gases are extracted from rock samples and conditioned for analysis. Customizable automation sequences allow the user to create specific recipes for preparation and analysis of various sample types.
Greenhouse Gas Sample Line Automation
The methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) sampling lines are used to study climate change trends by analyzing the abundance of these gases in samples of ice taken from regions of Antarctica and Greenland. User customizable automation sequences provide recipes for system calibration, sample gas extraction, and gas processing.
Time Resolved Analysis
A laser ablation technique is used to vaporize sample materials and elemental concentrations are measured using mass spectrometry. Time Resolved Analysis methods are implemented to process the experimental data. Custom software provides functionality for selecting data subsets, applying calibrations, and performing statistical calculations.
Bioreactor Process Automation
The bioreactor provides a temperature and pH controlled environment for studying biologically active organisms. The multiple bioreactor system includes three bioreactor units, each with independent control from a single application. Long duration experiments are performed, while maintaining proper ph, temperature, and nutrient flow rate.
